Best Korean eye cream for dark circles and puffiness (2026)

Updated September 10, 2026 · 5 min read

Dark circles are three different problems that look the same in the mirror, and only some of them respond to a product. Before you buy anything: pull the skin under your eye gently to the side. If the dark color moves with the skin, it's pigment or thin skin, and a cream can help. If a shadow stays put, it's the shape of the area (hollows, puffiness), and no cream changes shape.

Short version: for thin, crepey, dry under-eyes, start with the COSRX eye cream. For dark circles with early fine lines, the Beauty of Joseon retinal serum, every other night. Both, if you want: COSRX in the morning, Beauty of Joseon at night.

How to apply (this part matters more than the product)

A rice grain of product per eye, dotted along the bone under the eye, not on the lid. Pat with your ring finger until it disappears. Don't drag. The skin here is the thinnest on the face, and rubbing it every day is a reliable way to make it look worse.

For the retinal serum: start every other night, on dry skin, with your regular moisturizer after. If you get flaking or redness, pull back to twice a week. Sunscreen in the morning is not optional with a retinoid, ever.

The puffiness routine that costs nothing

  1. Sleep with your head slightly raised.
  2. Keep the eye cream in the fridge.
  3. In the morning, apply it cold and press from the inner corner outward toward the temple, five slow passes each side.
  4. Less salt at dinner, more water during the day. Boring, works.

FAQ

How long until I see anything?

Hydration shows in days (less creasing). Pigment and lines take eight to twelve weeks of consistent use, and the change is gradual.

Can I use both at the same time?

Yes: COSRX in the morning, Beauty of Joseon at night. Not layered together at night unless your skin is very tolerant.

Is an eye cream really different from face moisturizer?

Mostly in dose and fragrance. If your face moisturizer is fragrance-free and light, you can use it here. These two exist because most aren't.
